Pulse Events -----------> Sat 05-NOV-2011 The Masterworks Invitational The Pulse Orchestra invites students from four local high school choirs to join them onstage for a performance of Franz Joseph Haydn's choral masterpiece, "The Lord Nelson Mass." Originally titled "Mass for Troubled Times," Haydn wrote the work during the height of Napoleon's occupation of Europe. Our performance will place the mass in its historical context through a multi-media introduction, written by Scott Winters and featuring orchestra, chorus, narrator and video images. This introduction will offer a look at 1798 Vienna during those terrifying days as Napoleon's armies advanced nearly to the city gates. A truly powerful educational and concert experience for both the audience and the performers. 7:00PM Benson Great Hall, Bethel College St. Paul $10 CONFIRMED!!
